Nanofibers make see-through paper

  February 16/23 , 2009
Pack wood nanofibers together with just the right amount of space between them and you have transparent paper.

The transparent nanofiber paper is as strong as previously developed non-transparent nanofiber papers and about twice as strong as ordinary paper. The paper is 71.6 percent transparent. High-quality clear plastic sheets are up to 92 percent transparent.
