Description:  This array of molecular memory elements is made from a com- bination of chemistry, nano- technology and traditional chip- making lithography. The inset shows a 15-nanometer-wide palladium nanowire across gold electrodes. At each junction, molecules sandwiched between the nanowire and electrode store a bit of data.
